Program
Join Patricia Vergara for an intensive seminar dedicated to the treatment of complex malocclusions.
The seminar will take place in April in the beautiful city of Istanbul and is designed to expand your clinical skills and deepen your understanding of challenging orthodontic cases.
You will learn in detail about:
– Accurate diagnosis and classification of of impacted teeth
– Simplified biomechanical strategies for traction and management of impaction
– Protocols for functional treatment planning of Class 2 and 3 occlusion correction
– Effective application of MARPE in the treatment of Class 2 and 3 cases
– Protocols for correcting lateral crossbite and mandibular lateral displacement (MLD)
– The application of skeletal anchorage and auxiliary devices
– Clinical decision-making in complex interdisciplinary cases.
IMPORTANT NOTE: the “Seminar. Comfort”, “Seminar. VIP” and “Practical course” participation options are also available for purchase.
Basic advantages of the “Seminar. Standard” option:
– Participation in the scientific program
– Coffee break
– Notes and handouts
– Certificate of participation
– ADA credits available upon request.
PROGRAM
Topic 1: Skeletal anchorage
– Physical characteristics of the mini implants:
- According to the anatomy of the area
- Depending on bone density
- According to biomechanics.
– Design of the system of forces and resulting vectors for the following movements:
- Molar intrusion
- Incisor intrusion
- Molar straightening
- Mass distalization
- Mesialization of molars.
Topic 2: Spheres of orthodontic knowledge
– Identification and management of occlusal planes
– Vertical dimension as the key for the adequate correction of classes 2 and class 3 occlusion
– Elimination of the posterior discrepancy.
Topic 3: Identifying the aea of compensation
– Dentoalveolar
– Vertical
– Articular.
Topic 4: Treatment design and advanced mechanics
– Gummy smile:
- Identification of incisors resistance center and a better selection of the point of force application to obtain better results in the gummy smile
- Identity the difference between when it is a full arc intrusion or intrusion only for anterior tooth,
- Do I intrude with mini implants or with cantilever?
– MLD (Mandibular Lateral Deviation):
- Deepening of MLD. Treatment concepts.
– MARPE efficient mechanics for class 2 treatments:
- Class 2 high angle
- Class 2 low angle
- Change of occlusal planes and mini implants.
– MARPE efficient mechanics for class 3 treatments:
- Class 3 high angles
- Class 3 low angle
- With change of occlusal planes and mini implants.
