– Buccal segment expansion and canine distalization
– Use of mini-implants in non-extraction cases
– Protocols of banding
– Protocols of bonding
– Correction of anterior crossbites.
Day 2
– Use of of open coil springs for space creation
You will practice the acquired knowledge on typodonts.
Lecturers 1
Orthodontist and researcher based in Hong Kong; Founder, President, and Director of Professor Rabie's Institute of Graduate Orthodontics. Clinical and research focus spans functional appliance therapy for skeletal Class II malocclusions, TAD-assisted non-extraction and extraction mechanics, open-bite and deep-bite management, and the craniofacial growth response to functional jaw orthopedics.
Former Professor and Head of the Orthodontics Department at the University of Hong Kong (HKU) Faculty of Dentistry, where he led an internationally recognized research program in craniofacial growth and condylar adaptation. Co-founder of CloudOrtho — a digital orthodontic planning company. Author of an extensive body of research published in the International Journal of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery (IJOMFS), Journal of Surgery, Angle Orthodontist, American Journal of Orthodontics and Dentofacial Orthopedics, and other indexed journals. Multiple international award recipient for best published research.
Keynote speaker at the American Association of Orthodontists (AAO), European Orthodontic Society (EOS), and regional orthodontic conferences in Latin America and Africa.
