Dr. Bakr Rabie, a renowned orthodontist from Hong Kong, invites you to a specialized workshop on extraction treatment in orthodontics. This exceptional course will be held at the yacht club, providing an inspiring and unique educational environment.
What you'll learn and practice:
– Biomechanics of segmental mechanics using closing loops to distalize canines into extraction spaces
– Protocols of banding
– Midline corrections with typodonts to manage closing loops for space closure
– Use of mini implants in orthodontics
– TADs placement protocols.
Participants will engage in hands-on practice using typodonts, allowing them to apply the advanced techniques learned during the course. Enhance your expertise in extraction orthodontic treatments and enjoy the unique experience of learning on a yacht in the open sea.

PROGRAM
Day 1
– Biomechanics of segmental mechanics
– Biomechanics of segmental mechanics using closing loops to distalize canines into extraction spaces
– Protocols of banding
– How to use torque
– Handle retraction
– Root torque
– Midline corrections with typodonts to manage closing loops for space closure.
Day 2
– Mini implants in orthodontics
– TADs placement
– Achieving Class I with arch distalization.
You will practice the acquired knowledge on typodonts.
Lecturers 1
Orthodontist and researcher based in Hong Kong; Founder, President, and Director of Professor Rabie's Institute of Graduate Orthodontics. Clinical and research focus spans functional appliance therapy for skeletal Class II malocclusions, TAD-assisted non-extraction and extraction mechanics, open-bite and deep-bite management, and the craniofacial growth response to functional jaw orthopedics.
Former Professor and Head of the Orthodontics Department at the University of Hong Kong (HKU) Faculty of Dentistry, where he led an internationally recognized research program in craniofacial growth and condylar adaptation. Co-founder of CloudOrtho — a digital orthodontic planning company. Author of an extensive body of research published in the International Journal of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery (IJOMFS), Journal of Surgery, Angle Orthodontist, American Journal of Orthodontics and Dentofacial Orthopedics, and other indexed journals. Multiple international award recipient for best published research.
Keynote speaker at the American Association of Orthodontists (AAO), European Orthodontic Society (EOS), and regional orthodontic conferences in Latin America and Africa.
