Director, Master's Course in Perio-Implant-Prosthodontics, Unicamillus University of Medical and Health Sciences, Rome.
Author of extensive peer-reviewed publications in international periodontal journals. Co-editor of the Italian-language textbook Parodontologia (with M. Calandriello and G. Ricci). Co-author of the chapter on furcation involvement and treatment in Clinical Periodontology and Implant Dentistry (eds. J. Lindhe, T. Karring, N.P. Lang, Wiley-Blackwell) — one of the most widely used periodontal textbooks worldwide. Co-author, SIdP Testo Atlante di Parodontologia e Terapia Implantare (eds. A. Carrassi, P. Cortellini, L. Trombelli, Quintessenza Publishing).
Recipient, EFP Eminence in Periodontology Award (2015) — in recognition of outstanding contributions to the EFP and to the global understanding of periodontal diseases.
