Periodontist and implantologist in exclusive private practice in Ferrara, Italy. Director of the International Master Program in Periodontology at Istituto Stomatologico Toscano (Unicamillus University Roma). Visiting Professor in Postgraduate Periodontology at the University of Turin School of Dentistry. Professor in the Master's Program in Oral Surgery and Pathology at the University of Parma, with a focus on guided bone regeneration.
Over four decades of clinical and academic activity in periodontology — from pioneering research on periodontal anatomy and root morphology to contemporary clinical practice in periodontal plastic surgery, GBR, peri-implant disease management, and regenerative approaches to infrabony and furcation defects. Author and co-author of more than 150 publications in international peer-reviewed journals and multiple book chapters and volumes on periodontology.
International lecturer at periodontal and implant congresses and master programs worldwide, across Europe, North and South America, Asia, and Australia. Former Professor of Periodontology at Ferrara University (1986–2000). Past President and Active Member of the Italian Society of Periodontology (SIdP).
