Lesson program

– Dental casts: printed or in plaster

– Impression taking techniques: digital impressions vs analogical impressions

– Pliers selection: bird beak, straight plier, half round plier, etc

– Wires selection (0.7mm/0.0028, 0.8mm/0.0032, 0.9mm/0.0036)

– Minimum prerequisite of casts to construct functional appliances

– Protocols of wire bending. Basic wire bends: 


- "U" turn

- Bend by 90°.


– Force application.The contact point of the appliance with the tooth:

– Designing and positioning of the expansion screw on the functional orthopedic appliance
