EndoEvolution: Root perforations - diagnosis and treatment

Full Professor and Chair of the Endodontic Department at the Faculty of Dental Medicine, University of Lisbon (FMDUL). Clinical Director at Oralmente — Clínica Médica e Dentária, Lisbon. Former Vice Dean of FMDUL (2009–2014).

Over 35 years of academic and clinical practice in endodontics. Pioneered the introduction of the operative microscope and microsurgical techniques in endodontics and dentistry in Portugal in 1995. Director of the Post-Graduate and Specialty Programs in Endodontics at FMDUL, responsible for training generations of endodontic specialists.

International lecturer who has delivered education in over 15 countries, including Brazil, France, Germany, Italy, Japan, South Korea, South Africa, Spain, Sweden, and Switzerland. Jury member at PhD defenses in Lisbon, Coimbra, Porto, Valencia, Pretoria, and Ribeirão Preto. Author of approximately 60 scientific articles, conference papers, and 6 book chapters.
