In class II cases, there is usually hypoplasia of the chin. Whichever correction is chosen: orthodontic vs. orthodontic and orthognathic surgery, for facial harmonization we need to do the chin surgery.
Genioplasty is a necessary surgery in our approach to facial balance in some class II patients.
