Lecturers 1

Professor of Periodontology and Implantology at the University of Bologna, Italy (since 2000).

 

Graduated from the University of Bologna in 1988 and received a PhD in Medical Biotechnology from the same university in 1999. Has more than 30 years of clinical and academic experience, with a primary focus on periodontal plastic surgery and soft tissue management around teeth and implants.

 

Author of more than 100 scientific publications in peer-reviewed international journals. His clinical and research work has significantly contributed to the development and refinement of surgical approaches for the treatment of gingival recession and soft tissue reconstruction.

 

Recipient of several international awards for clinical research, including the American Academy of Periodontology Foundation E. Bud Tarrson Research Award in Oral Plastic Surgery (2006, 2008) and recognition from the European Federation of Periodontology.

 

Associate Editor of the International Journal of Esthetic Dentistry and member of editorial boards of leading periodontal journals.

 

Author of the book Mucogingival Esthetic Surgery (Quintessence, 2012), widely used as a reference in the field.

 

Active member of the European Academy of Esthetic Dentistry (EAED), Italian Society of Periodontology (SIdP), Italian Academy of Osseointegration (IAO), and the European Federation of Periodontology (EFP).

 

Regular speaker at international congresses and hands-on courses, including live surgical demonstrations.
