Specialist in orthodontics with focus on skeletal anchorage devices, miniscrew-assisted rapid palatal expansion (MARPE), and treatment of transverse maxillary deficiency. International Coordinator of the Orthodontic Specialization Program at Pontificia Universidad Católica Madre y Maestra in Santiago, Dominican Republic (since 2009). Maintains orthodontic practice in São Paulo, Brazil.
Over 20 years of clinical experience treating complex orthodontic cases involving skeletal discrepancies, impacted canines, and cases requiring orthopedic expansion. Pioneer in promoting MARPE protocols in Latin America for non-surgical treatment of transverse maxillary deficiency in adolescents and adults. Research focuses on bone-borne expansion appliances, midpalatal suture maturation assessment, and predictability factors for successful skeletal expansion.
Professor at UNESP (São Paulo State University) in Marília, Brazil, since 2004. Former Professor at Universidade Ceuma, São Luís, Brazil (2006-2020). International lecturer presenting throughout Latin America, United States, Europe, and Asia on skeletal anchorage, MARPE techniques, and optimization of orthodontic treatment mechanics. Author of the book "MARPE: Expanding the Boundaries of Orthodontics." Author of over 100 scientific articles published in international peer-reviewed orthodontic journals. Regular columnist ("BASIC AND ESSENTIAL") for ORTHODONTIASPO magazine.

Orthodontist in private practice (Valencia, Spain) and Associate Professor in the Orthodontics Teaching Unit at the University of Valencia. Clinical expertise focuses on TAD-based mechanics across the three planes of space — vertical, sagittal, and transversal — with particular emphasis on managing skeletal discrepancies in growing and adult patients.
Part of the Faus academic and clinical family at the University of Valencia — a group long associated with postgraduate education in restorative dentistry, endodontics, and orthodontics. Clinical training includes the Master in Prosthodontics and Occlusion and the Master of Dental Science, both at the University of Valencia, supplemented by a certificate in lingual orthodontics (Incognito) and Invisalign certification.
