El problema esencial de la patología de la oclusión es la desviación (adaptación) de la mandíbula inferior que provoca la aparición de las formas esqueléticas de la oclusión distal y mesial, desplazamiento lateral de la mandíbula inferior (MLD) y disfunción del TMJ. El diagnóstico y la planificación del tratamiento son fundamentales para tratar estas maloclusiones, pero en particular las anomalías en la posición de la mandíbula inferior y el cambio de la posición terapéutica (ThP) son muy importantes. Análisis del patrón dinámico de los movimientos del cóndilo mandibular con condilógrafo es importante como el método eficaz de diagnóstico de la posición de la mandíbula inferior. En esta tapa el conferencista explica el concepto RP-ThP y da ejemplos clínicos.
