Pioneer in the development and clinical implementation of minimally invasive and regenerative TMJ surgical techniques in Portugal — including arthrocentesis with Super-PRP (regenerative cells + hyaluronic acid), TMJ arthroscopy, open TMJ surgery, and alloplastic total joint replacement. Developer of an integrated 360° clinical protocol covering diagnostic imaging (3D CBCT), conservative treatment, botulinum toxin injection, arthrocentesis, arthroscopy, open joint surgery, and postoperative physiotherapy rehabilitation. Researcher in TMJ disc regeneration using biomaterials and smart regenerative medicine. Author of dozens of peer-reviewed publications as first author in leading journals of the specialty. First Secretary, Order of Portuguese Dentists (2016–2019).

Recipient of more than 11 national and international research awards, including the prestigious Grunenthal Foundation Young Researcher Award in Pain (2015). Principal investigator of the TEMPOJIMS preclinical trial. International speaker on TMJ diagnosis, minimally invasive procedures, and open surgery.
