Research Collaborator and Visiting Instructor in Orthodontics and Pedodontics at the University of Geneva. Maintains a private specialist orthodontic practice.

 

Research expertise spanning orthodontic tooth movement, root resorption, obstructive sleep apnea, temporary anchorage devices, sequential aligner therapy, accelerated tooth movement, magnetic forces, and dentofacial orthopedics. Has published extensively in the international orthodontic literature and supervised numerous postgraduate and PhD candidates. Earlier career positions included clinical instructor and postgraduate coordinator at the University of Geneva, Assistant Professor at the University of North Carolina, and Research Professor at the University of Southern California. Lectured in North and South America, Europe, Asia, Africa, and Australia.

 

Recipient of the Sheldon Friel Award — the highest distinction of the European Orthodontic Society. Recipient of the Begg Award — the highest research award of the Australian Society of Orthodontists. Recipient of the Huston Award for best research from the European Orthodontic Society.
