Paulo Kano is the founder of Paulo Kano Education Center, a dental institute located in São Paulo, Brazil. He's started his career lecturing about sculpture and occlusion (1990-2007) and as a result of this work, he has published a book called Challenging Nature with worldwide editions. For over 15 years he has taught restorative dentistry at his institute and as visiting Professor of the Graduate School in the Restorative Dentistry Department of the. Federal University of Santa Catarina (UFSC) and at Paulista Association of Dental Surgeons (Associação Paulista de Cirurgiões Dentistas - APCD). He has also taught full mouth rehabilitation in a clinical hands-on course for 3 years.

During the last 20 years, he has been developing techniques to achieve excellence in aesthetic dentistry by copping the naturalness of the teeth. In 2005 he started courses about aesthetic dentistry. In 2010, to enhance the workflow and make it more simple, predictable and with high quality, he started using the most advanced dental technologies applied to aesthetics. Nowadays, his courses are based on the Clones method, which is a concept that enables to recreate the dental morphology with naturalness and predictability, cloning the natural teeth morphologies, using virtual tooth libraries and physical anatomy. He teaches about mockups, photo, video, digital planning, flapless surgery, dental preparation, scanning, staining, bonding, occlusal adjustment, dental implants, and oral rehabilitation. All to give the patient a personalized aesthetic. He is the president of the Brazilian Society of Digital Dentistry (SBODigital), in which he has been leading to improve the technological and scientific advancements so that more dentists are able to use quality equipment and materials every day and give their patients excellent treatments. Dr. Paulo Kano has graduated from the University of Santo Amaro in 1988 and holds a master's degree in Implantology from the Sao Leopoldo Mandic University. He is also certified as a dental technician by the Sao Paulo Department of Education since 1982. During his professional years, he has published national and international articles, translated into several languages.

He has participated as co-author of the book Odontologia Estética ("Aesthetic Dentistry") and was a collaborator of the book Odontologia Restauradora (Restorative.Dentistry) - Fundamentals and Possibilities both with Professor Luiz Narciso Baratieri. Dr. Paulo Kano keeps increasing his techniques doing researches and learning with each new technology that is introduced every year. He shares his knowledge with passion because he believes that every dentist should be able to achieve greatness in quality and aesthetics.

Dr Agnini works in private practice in Modena and Sassuolo, Emilia Romagna, Italy, following his brother, Alessandro, focusing on Fixed Prosthetic Dentistry, Periodontology, and Implant Dentistry. 

He attended the NYU College of Dentistry in the years 2009 - 2011 having, among others, as teachers and mentors Doctor Dennis Tarnow, Doctor Christian Stappert, Doctor Stephen Chu and Doctor Michael Bral.  He has been the Clinical Research Fellow of the Ashman Department of Periodontology and Implant Dentistry at NYU, under the supervision of Dr Sang Choon Cho. 

He is co-author of various Italian and international scientific publications and international lecturer.

He is part, since 2008, of the scientific committee of the annual programs in Prosthetic Dentistry, Periodontology and Implant Dentistry based at Studio Agnini Odontoiatria. Since 2011 he is a lecturer of the Dental Xp Website, being also part of the Editorial Board.  Author of the book “Digital Dental Revolution: The Learning Curve” edited by Quintessence.
