Dr. Hugo Sousa Dias graduated with a DDS from University Fernando Pessoa, Porto, Portugal, and completed the postgraduate program in endodontics at the University of Lisbon, Portugal.

Member of SPE - Sociedade Portuguesa de Endodontologia.

Member of ESCD - European Society of Cosmetic Dentistry.

He has given more than 20 lectures around the world and is co-author of a chapter in the book The Root Canal Anatomy in Permanent Dentition (Springer, 2018).

Over 18 years of clinical experience since graduation in 2008 with exclusive focus on endodontics. Expert in management of iatrogenic complications in endodontics including canal blockage, ledges, and separated instrument removal, complex root canal anatomy, endodontic retreatment protocols, and contemporary endodontic instrumentation techniques. Founder of the Study Club Endodontics (Grupo Português para o Estudo da Endodontia). Former Coordinator of the Master's Program in Endodontics - Clinical Residency at Foramen Dental Education (2014-2018). Known for systematic evidence-based approaches to managing complex endodontic challenges.

Co-author of a chapter in the influential textbook "The Root Canal Anatomy in Permanent Dentition" (Springer, 2018), an essential reference on anatomical variations and their clinical significance. Author of scientific articles on endodontic topics. International lecturer having presented over 20 lectures worldwide on topics including prevention and management of iatrogenic blockages in endodontic practice, separated instrument removal techniques, complex anatomy navigation, and contemporary endodontic protocols. Regular faculty at major endodontic conferences including the Annual Christmas Endodontic Congress in Berlin alongside legends Marco Versiani, Michael Solomonov, and Gianluca Gambarini.
