Taiichi Maekawa

Dental technician and occlusion specialist (Japan); one of the key laboratory faculty members of the Japanese school of functional dentistry centred on Kanagawa Dental University and the legacy of Professor Sadao Sato. Technical work focuses on the fabrication of occlusal restorations within the Functionally Discluded Occlusion (FDO) framework — including digital articulator workflow, sequential occlusion design, and the creation of full-arch restorations that translate functional jaw recordings into three-dimensional ceramic and CAD/CAM prosthetics.

Faculty of the Functional Dentistry Congress in Kyoto alongside Sadao Sato, Kazumi Ikeda, Satoshi Aoki, Shimpei Sonoda, and Toshinari Toyama.
