Program

Are you ready to revolutionize the way you treat severe tooth wear?
Learn how to restore function, aesthetics, and vertical dimension of occlusion (VDO) with predictable, minimally invasive methods that are already transforming practices worldwide!

Under the guidance of Dr. Riccardo Ammannato, a true innovator who brought the “Index Technique” into everyday dental practice, participants will gain a deep clinical insight into this highly popular, global approach.

Key topics of the seminar:

— Comprehensive diagnostics for complex cases of pathological tooth wear
— Wax-up planning to accurately increase the vertical dimension of occlusion (VDO)
— Direct, indirect, and hybrid restoration protocols for anterior and posterior teeth, maximizing both function and aesthetics.

During the Hands-On, you will:

— Create a provisional connected molding for a sextant with clear keys of the wax-up
— Fabricate clear connected keys of the wax-up
— Perform composite connected moldings on the models, including finishing and polishing.

This course will empower dentists to confidently diagnose and restore worn dentition using cutting-edge, minimally invasive techniques that combine direct composite and indirect ceramic/composite solutions, bringing predictable, functional, and aesthetic results to every case.

IMPORTANT NOTE: for practical exercises on the second day, participants will need to bring their own sets of forceps to practice on cantilevers.

The “Seminar. Standard”, “Seminar. Comfort” and “Seminar. VIP” participation options are also available for purchase.

Program

Theory

— How to diagnose worn dentition (corrosion, attrition, abrasion, abfraction)
— How to perform and stabilize clear keys: connected vs. single index, with advantages and limitations
— Indications and protocols for a direct adhesive, no-prep molding composite approach: single molding index technique and flow molding
— Indications and protocols for a minimally invasive indirect adhesive approach using composite and/or ceramic onlays/overlays.

Hands-on

Participants will work on models specially prepared for this course.

Participants will:

— Create a provisional connected molding for a sextant with clear keys of the wax-up
— Fabricate clear connected keys of the wax-up
— Fabricate clear single keys of the wax-up
— Perform composite connected moldings on the models, including finishing and polishing
— Perform composite single moldings on the models, including finishing and polishing.

Lecturers 1

Restorative and aesthetic dentist in private practice in Genoa, Italy. Developer and principal disseminator of the Index Technique — a composite restoration protocol for worn dentition that uses silicon keys derived from a diagnostic wax-up to restore anterior and posterior teeth directly in a single appointment at increased vertical dimension, without provisional restorations. The technique has been adopted by practitioners in dozens of countries and is taught as a standalone postgraduate curriculum.

Author of peer-reviewed articles on adhesive and restorative dentistry. Faculty at the University of Naples Vanvitelli — Restorative and Aesthetic Dentistry (under Professor F. Femiano) — and at the University of Rome Tor Vergata — Restorative and Aesthetic Dentistry (under Professor F. Mangani).

Active Member of the European Academy of Esthetic Dentistry (EAED), Italian Academy of Restorative and Conservative Dentistry (AIC), and Italian Academy of Esthetic Dentistry (IAED).
