Immerse yourself for two days in the updated and enhanced world of Periodontal Regeneration! The world's most renowned master of this field, Dr. Pierpaolo Cortellini, and his team, will provide a comprehensive 360° analysis of the latest applications of Biologically Driven Periodontal Regeneration for teeth with intrabony defects.

The training will take place in beautiful Florence!

This course includes detailed explanations of novel concepts, practical clinical tips, and in-depth analyses of common pitfalls, complications, and failures. Problems will be examined, and the most advanced solutions will be discussed and demonstrated using Dr. Cortellini's cases.

Through a combination of lectures, video demonstrations, and case discussions, clinicians will have the opportunity to elevate their skills in periodontal regenerative medicine.

During the course you will learn:

– Pre-surgical management of the regenerative site
– Selection of the regenerative materials
– Step by step surgical management
– The papilla incision
– Defect debridement and supracrestal fibers preservation
– Primary closure and stability of the wound
– The internal mattress sutures
– Post-surgical control of early wound-healing
– Managing regeneration in the aesthetic area.

IMPORTANT: the “Seminar. Comfort”, “Seminar.VIP” and ”Seminar + workshop" participation options is also available for purchase.

Advantages of the “Standard” participation option:

– Participation in the scientific program
– Coffee break

– Notes and handouts
– Certificate of participation
– ADA credits available upon request.

PROGRAM

Day 1

Biologic and clinical background

— Clinical objectives, indications, limits, and prognosis of periodontal regeneration
— Periodontal regeneration in the global treatment planning: timing and interactions
— Preparation of the patient: step 1 & 2 of perio therapy and soft tissue preservation
— A new concept for patient re-evaluation: how to follow the healing of soft & hard tissues
— Assessment and management of patient and defect factors to increase predictability
— Diagnosis and control of endodontic conditions, tooth mobility, and local contamination of the defect.

Infrabony defects

— Pre-surgical diagnosis:

- Soft tissue phenotype
- Position of the gingival margin and papilla morphology
- Generating a 3-D clinical and radiological assessment of defect morphology
- Defect extension.

— Critical evaluation of periodontal regenerative materials
— Biologically driven selection of regenerative materials
— Healing models of regenerating sites: a new concept.

Day 2

Infrabony defects

— The 3 steps of regenerative surgery:

- Papilla incision: how to manage wide, narrow, positive, or negative papillae
- Defect debridement: the new concept of supracrestal fibers preservation
- Suturing techniques: different designs of internal mattress modified.

— Tissue handling and flap design:

- Papilla preservation flaps
- Microsurgery and minimally invasive surgery
- Modified minimally invasive surgery
- Flap design for multiple defects.

— Regeneration in the aesthetic area
— Aesthetic management of the interdental papilla.
