1st Day
- Presentation of the Instituto Português da Face and presentation of the week
- Presentation of clinical cases
- Clinical training: Consultations and 3D Planning.
2nd Day
- Surgical Day: Orthognathic/Temporomandibular surgery.
3rd Day
- Post-surgical follow-up appointments
- Post-surgical rehabilitation follow-up appointments with therapist
- 3D simulation of clinical cases.
Dinner with Dr. David Sanz.
4th Day
- Post-surgical orthognathic surgery rehabilitation with a therapist.
Tour of Lisbon with private driver.
5th Day
- Orthognathic surgery appointments and/or afternoon surgery (variable).
6th Day
- Clinical training
- Toxin and arthrocentesis follow-up for DTM.
7th Day
- Surgical Day: Orthognathic/Temporomandibular surgery.

Oral and maxillofacial surgeon specializing in orthognathic surgery, temporomandibular joint surgery, and obstructive sleep apnea. Co-Founder and Staff Surgeon at Instituto Português da Face (IPFace), Lisbon — Portugal's leading referral center for TMJ and facial surgery (co-founded with Dr. David Angelo). Invited Assistant Professor, Faculty of Dentistry, University of Coimbra.
Over 16 years of progressive clinical specialization in orthognathic surgery, TMJ dysfunction, and sleep apnea surgery. Performs the full scope of bimaxillary orthognathic procedures, segmental osteotomies, genioplasty, and open TMJ surgery, with a strong emphasis on 3D virtual surgical planning and multidisciplinary functional rehabilitation. Regular instructor in live orthognathic surgery fellowship programs at IPFace — providing visiting surgeons with hands-on exposure to his clinical protocols and operative technique.
Author and co-author of articles in national and international journals and scientific congress presentations. International speaker on orthognathic surgery, TMJ surgery, and sleep apnea.
MD (Stomatology/Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery). Specialist in Maxillofacial Surgery. Founder and Past President (until March 2018), Portuguese Society of Temporomandibular Disorders and Orofacial Pain (SPDOF); current Vice-President.
