Description

Compared to conventional nickel-titanium alloy archwires, Copper Ni-Ti alloy archwires have several advantages: * Copper Ni-Ti archwires have 20% lower loading force, making them easier to install. * They provide a constant force application with small deformations. * Due to their low hysteresis, Copper Ni-Ti archwires lose less force. * They are more resistant to permanent deformation. * The addition of copper has allowed for the production of archwires with a precisely defined transformation temperature. Features of Damon CuNi-Ti archwires: * The transformation temperature of round archwires is 25°C, while for rectangular archwires it is 30°C. This distinguishes them from standard Copper Ni-Ti archwires. * The specific transformation temperature was chosen to ensure an optimal force level at all stages of archwire use, in accordance with the philosophy and experience of Dr. Dwight Damon.
