How to waist the force in aligners and change in treatment plan ?!

Small tiny mistakes may distort the forces, exerted by aligners. One of these mistakes is not removing all calculus before scanning, that will lead to two things:

First of all – aligners forces at the teeth necks (free and thin edges) are weak, so not removing the calculus will lead to clearance between aligners and teeth in all printed aligners, that lead to extra weakness.

Secondly – all apps will treat the calculus as nature structure of teeth i call it “shape bias” 😀 [will treat them as enamel], so when programming the movement you will do unnecessary IPR 😭.

Check the pictures as listed – it's a new case with accumulation of calculus on lower incisors that need retraction.
