Lesson program

One of the fundamental themes in dentistry has always been the search for the centric relation in order to then build a centric occlusion in that position. Until now, this approach has been carried out with a local concept, that is, considering only the balance of the craniofacial system. However, we have overcome this limited vision, understanding that the craniofacial system must be in balance with the rest of the body. Therefore, we call this position "postural centric relation" and "postural centric occlusion."

The main objective of this approach is to achieve a good balance between the mandibular position and the rest of the body. Therefore, a holistic work is crucial, and the main thing is to have an instrument that allows us to measure if the position found does not disturb the static posture of the organism. In our school, we call this situation "balance between the craniofacial system and the postural tonic system."

The Posturometer is a device that allows us to measure the posture of the body and detect the interferences of the different systems that can alter the balance of the muscle chains. It is important to take these measurements to ensure that the position obtained is in harmony with the rest of the body.

In this webinar, I will explain how we should measure the different situations and how to obtain the mandibular centric relation. We will also learn how to test the occlusion that blocks the obtained mandibular position.

During the webinar, we will show you the basic concepts of posturometry, the tests necessary for the diagnosis and obtaining the mandibular centric relation in balance with the body, as well as the tests to evaluate the centric occlusion. It will be an interesting and free masterclass, designed to teach you how to work in harmony with the static posture of your body.
