El compendio de esta clase online de ortodoncia que compartimos en este momento , destaca la importancia de las ciencias básicas aplicadas a la clínica de ortodoncia. Trataremos los componentes de la base craneal, la sincondrosis esfenooccipital y su importancia en el desarrollo craneofacial. Evaluaremos la dirección del crecimiento mandibular y maxilar, analizando los factores que intervienen en el establecimiento de estos vectores de crecimiento: la base del cráneo, el crecimiento sutura, el cartílago nasal medio, los dientes, los senos paranasales, la lengua, las cavidades orbitarias, entre otros. Revisaremos los picos de crecimiento y sus factores biológicos.
