Description

Jorge Vera - the most renowned and top-ranked endodontist from Mexico! The doctor works in contemporary scientific concepts. During the online course he will tell about: - treatment of endo-perio lesions - differential diagnostics of endodontic pain syndromes (dental pain vs neurovascular, orofacial and neuropathic pain syndromes) - secondary endodontic treatment and surgery - contemporary irrigation methods The unique feature of all the course webinars: the lecturer will explain and show you how how to use recent developments in applied endodontics!

Lesson 1.Managing complex pain and infection cases in a contemporary endodontic office.

This lecture is designed to address common problems in diagnosis encountered when dealing with patients presenting with symptoms mimicking odontogenic pain. Most of those patients have undergone multiple dental interventions, which have resulted in exacerbation of their symptoms rather than relief. Neurovascular orofacial, and neuropathic pain syndromes are some examples. The second part of the lecture will deal with common anesthetic problems and how to solve them, as well as a rationale for the use of analgesics and antibiotics in an Endodontists office.

Lesson 2.Intracanal infection and disinfection. Can current irrigation techniques achieve a predictable and efficient result?

This lecture will provide attendees with an understanding of the flaws of irrigation/disinfection studies when addressing a monoculture as the cause of persistent disease. Clinically, the hydrodynamics involved during irrigation of the root canal system will be addressed, as well as the balance between safely and efficiently delivering irrigating solutions to the apical third and difficult-to-reach areas, the understanding of chemical undesirable irrigant interactions and how to avoid them.

Lesson 3.Endodontic management of the endodontic–periodontal lesion: Understanding proper diagnosis and clinical treatment to achieve periradicular healing

In some situations, periradicular lesions of endodontic origin may be difficult to distinguish from lesions caused by periodontal disease. When a sinus tract originating from an endodontic lesion drains alongside the periodontal ligament, the lesion may give the radiographic and clinical appearance of a periodontal pocket. Cone beam computed tomography (CBCT) may also show extensive destruction of the periradicular tissues but lacks information

regarding remaining areas with soft tissue attachment. Using all diagnostic means to obtain an accurate diagnosis of these lesions is crucial to the delivery of suitable treatment in order to achieve periradicular healing.

The aim of this lecture is to review the mechanisms of bone lesion formation caused by pulpal disease with a potential extension into the oral cavity, as well as the diagnosis involved and clinical treatment of such endodontic–periodontal lesions. This lecture will also discuss healing controversies in 2019, when should we expect healing and when no to.

Lesson 4.The Essentials of Endodontics Understand & Utilize Scientific and Modern Concepts to Maximize your Clinical Success

This course/lecture is designed to address critical problems encountered when dealing with teeth with difficult anatomy and apical periodontitis using scientific research as well as modern techniques to solve them. Microscopic techniques, CBCT and state of the art instruments and irrigating techniques should allow the clinician to deal with complex situations removing organic tissue and lowering the microbial bioburden in order to increase the potential for healing and long-term success. The clinical decisions on when and how to retreat or when and how to perform periapical microsurgery as well as the devices and materials used in them will be discussed.

1. A dynamic presentation addressing common problems encountered when doing root canal therapy, as well as clinical solutions for them

2. Participants will be shown important, published research up top 2019, which has clinical relevance in terms of attempting to improve clinical skills and techniques.

3. Teaching tools used for under and postgraduate training will be shown and used during the lectures.

4. Participants will be shown a very high number of cases with proper long-term recalls on teeth with large periapical radiolucencies, endo-perio problems, trauma and surgical treatments.
