– Study models
– Segmentations.
2. Biomechanics of mobile teeth:
– Back and forward, rotation, angulation

3. Treatment planning strategy:
– Recognize cases and their limitations

4. 2 stage treatment planing and their management.
5. Management of various attachments:
– The best positioning on the tooth
– Different shapes for different movements
– Dimensions, height, width and thickness.
Lesson 2.Digital appliances: online workshop by Stefano Negrini
1. Files management:
– Import of STL files from different scan and quality control.
2. Models preparations:
– Application of different base.
3. Basic design concepts:
– Define the rules and import of STL file during the design staging.
4. Prepare a custom bands:
– Defining the thickness and offset.
5. Prepare a lingual arch:
– Defining different shape of lingual arch.
6. Prepare a RME:
– Select and import different screws and the design of different connections.
Lesson 3.Orthodontic TADs solutions: online workshop by Stefano Negrini
1. Files management:
– Import of STL files from different scan and quality control.
2. Models preparations:
– Application of different base.
3. Basic digital planning concepts:
– Define the rules, determining which files needs LL-Xray or CBCT, segmentations superimpositions, and import of STL file during the design staging.
4. Planning TADs positions:
– Defining the best positions, T-zone, and bi-cortical position.
5. Prepare appliances:
– Defining rules in according to the doctor indications.
6. Prepare a Hybrid RME:
– Select and import different screws and the design of different connections.
7. Prepare a Distal Slider.

Over 30 years of experience in orthodontic laboratory techniques with transition from traditional analog methods to comprehensive digital workflows. Pioneer in digital orthodontics in Italy, developing systematic protocols for 3D-printed and milled orthodontic appliances including functional appliances (Herbst, Fränkel, Twin Block), retainers, indirect bonding trays, and clear aligner systems. Expert in digital design software and decision-making between milling versus 3D printing for different appliance types.
Chairman of ORTEC (Association of Italian Orthodontic Technicians, 2015-2016). Recipient of the Aldridge Medal Award from the OTA Orthodontic Technicians Association, United Kingdom (2018), recognizing outstanding contributions to orthodontic technology. Founder of Ortodonzia Estense in 1992, initially specializing in fixed, removable, functional, and orthopedic appliances before transitioning to digital-focused practice.
