CV

Professor of Physiology and Biomechanics of the Masticatory System at the Clinic of Masticatory Disorders, Removable Prosthodontics, Geriatric and Special Care Dentistry, Center of Dental Medicine, University of Zurich (Switzerland). Research focus: quantitative biomechanics of the temporomandibular joint, virtual jaw motion analysis, mechanobehavior scoring, and computational modeling of masticatory loading.

Pioneer in virtual and non-invasive biomechanical analysis of the masticatory system, with over 5,000 scholarly citations. Research contributions span TMJ loading mechanics, condylar morphology, neuromuscular jaw coordination, and the biomechanical determinants of TMJ degenerative disease — published in the Journal of Dental Research, Journal of Biomechanics, and other leading journals. His virtual biomechanics models are widely cited as reference tools in clinical TMJ diagnostics and occlusal rehabilitation research.

International speaker at TMJ biomechanics and occlusion congresses worldwide. Guest Professor at the University of Milan (Italy) and Florida International University (Miami, FL, USA).
