Program
This two-day masterclass offers an immersive experience that blends cutting-edge scientific evidence with real-world clinical practice in TMJ arthrocentesis, led by Prof. Daniele Manfredini — One of the leading expert in the world in the field of TMD.
As a cornerstone procedure in the management of intra-articular TMJ disorders, arthrocentesis can significantly enhance treatment outcomes and become a game-changer in clinical practice. Its minimally invasive nature and consistent effectiveness have earned it widespread acceptance in the field of orofacial pain (OFP) and temporomandibular disorders (TMDs) over the past two decades.
Day 1 program includes:
– Theoretical Foundation: In-depth review of TMJ anatomy, pathophysiology, and core diagnostic concepts for intra-articular disorders
– Arthrocentesis Protocols: Comprehensive training on patient selection, single-needle vs. two-needle techniques, access points, lavage methods, and intra-articular medications
– Evidence-Based Approach: Content grounded in over 15 years of clinical and research experience, with emphasis on real-world applicability.
Day 2 program includes:
– Live Clinical Demonstration: Observation of 2–3 live arthrocentesis procedures with guided narration and discussion of technique and decision-making
– Hands-On Simulation & Interaction: Mannequin-based simulation, Q&A sessions, and informal discussion with the instructor.
Designed for clinicians aiming to refine their skills in TMJ procedures, this masterclass not only walks participants through the literature supporting the single-needle technique but also offers invaluable clinical insights and live procedural experience under the guidance of Prof. Daniele Manfredini, a global authority in TMJ treatment.
NOTE: all participants will have access to the following webinars:
– Temporomandibular disorders: diagnosis and treatment tactics by Daniele Manfredini
– Occlusal theories and dogmas by Daniele Manfredini
– Occlusion and bruxism by Gregor Slavicek
– Digital Occlusion Diagnosis by Riaz Yar
– Functional Occlusion: Comprehensive Diagnostic Protocols by Satoshi Aoki
