Description
Surgical suction conduits are subject to significant organic and microbial contamination from the flow of fluids and materials (blood, saliva, detritus) aspirated from the oral cavity during patient treatment. Ster 3 plus, based on phenol-derivatives, isopropyl alcohol and potassium hydroxide, is recommended for daily cleaning and decontamination of the surgical suction system. It washes and hygienizes the internal surfaces of the conduits and suction filters, impedes bacterial proliferation and prevents fermentation processes and the formation of deposits, with a residual hygienizing effect on treated conduit walls. Ster 3 plus is a Medical Device Accessory, carrying the CE mark (EC Directive 93/42).
COMPONENTS:
Biphynl-2-ol, Potassium salt, 2-Propanol, Tetrasodium EDTA, Potassium Hydroxide, colour, perfume, water.
ACTIVITY:
The hygienizing capacity of the active ingredients of STER 3 plus has been verified in microbiological tests with regard to Staphylococcus aureus ATCC 6538/P, Pseudomonas aeruginosa ATCC 27853, the outcome being a 99% reduction of the bacterial load after 2 minutes of contact.
Ster 3 plus is used diluted at 6%; it can be used with automatic cannulae washing systems or can be used manually.
- Use on automatic systems: dilute the product at 6% (60 ml of pure product in 1 litre of water) and introduce the thus-obtained solution into the relevant dental unit tank. Use the tube washing system as per dental unit instructions.
- Manual use: dilute 60 ml of product in 1 litre of hot water; aspirate the solution slowly with disposable cannulae, then remove the cannulae and dispose of them. Follow the instructions for use shown on the product label and the dental unit instructions. Use the product only for its intended purpose and only in the manner described. Improper use of the product can cause problems on some materials for which the product has not been tested beforehand.
