Former tenured associate professor, Director of Post-Doctoral Periodontology (2012-2019), and Chair of Periodontology Section (2003-2006) at USC Ostrow School of Dentistry. Earned his DDS from USC, PhD in immunology from University of Connecticut Health Center, with post-doctoral training in periodontology.
Creator of the internationally recognized VISTA technique for gum recession treatment. Developer of multiple patented dental concepts and devices used worldwide. Led the Laboratory for Immunoregulation and Tissue Engineering (LITE) at USC. Published over 60 peer-reviewed articles. Served as NIH scientific reviewer and panel chair.
International lecturer in over 30 countries on minimally invasive periodontal and implant surgery, aesthetics, and tissue engineering. Former director of USC International Periodontal and Implant Symposium.
Past president of Western Society of Periodontology (2017). Active member of American Academy of Periodontology, Academy of Osseointegration, American Academy of Implant Dentistry, and other professional organizations.
