Экскурсия на Леринские острова — событие, которое не следует пропускать. Остров Сент-Маргерит знаменит Королевским фортом, тюрьмой времен Людовика XIV и оборонительными сооружениями наполеоновской эпохи. На соседнем острове Сент-Онора расположен монастырь, претендующий на звание старейшего в Европе — еще святой Патрик был здесь монахом.

В тюрьме на острове Сент-Маргерит некогда томился знаменитый узник Железная Маска, а сейчас там находится морской музей.

Достопримечательности

Несмотря на относительно небольшой размер, Канны сочетают в себе туристические приманки практически на любой вкус — от звездных вилл и роскошных отелей до памятников средневековой архитектуры и заповедных мест с нетронутой природой.

Самое знаменитое место Канн, миновать которое почти невозможно, — набережная Круазетт. Она тянется почти на 3 км от Дворца Фестивалей до мыса Палм-Бич и отделяет собственно город от береговой линии. Это любимое место прогулок и гостей города и местных жителей.

Кулинарные традиции Канн

В кулинарной традиции Канн смешаны рецепты приморской кухни и континентального Прованса, поэтому в городе одинаково популярны как крестьянские по происхождению блюда вроде тушеного кролика в розмарине, так и рыбацкие супы типа знаменитого «буйябеса».

К слову, в Каннах у «буйябеса» есть соперник — суп из перетертой трески и сельди. В него принято добавлять тертый сыр и есть с гренками, пропитанными соусом «айоли».

Из напитков стоит попробовать традиционное для Прованса розовое вино, оно пока малопопулярно за пределами Франции, поэтому стоит прихватить домой бутылку-другую в качестве сувенира.

Остаться голодным в Каннах почти невозможно: город предлагает огромный выбор ресторанов, кафе, закусочных и предприятий быстрого питания

Стоимость горячего обеда в различных заведениях может составить от 5 до 150 евро

Любителям пляжного отдыха повезло: Канны славятся своими чистыми пляжами с белым песочком

ТИШИНА И УЕДИНЕНИЕ

Любителям тишины и уединения необязательно отправляться на Леринские острова: к их услугам городской лесопарк «Круа-де-Гард», расположенный всего в 1,5 км от Круазетт. Он славится чистым воздухом, атмосферой покоя и завораживающими видами на залив.
